WHAT IS POWERBOW
Powerbow is an easy to use strength and stamina training device which allows the user to perform most of the exercises previously associated with gym training, but in a totally mobile package.
It’s training advantage is the combination of plyometric style total body training to encourage the development of “fast twitch” muscle fibres ( which generate a large amount of force quickly), and traditional muscle building strength training through doubling and looping of the chord to provide exponential resistance.
Powerbow training can be taken anywhere. The Powerbow fits comfortably into a pocket or sports bag, making it ideal for use “on the field” as part of existing training programs.
Powerbow training programs have been successfully created for sport enhancing training in golf, skiing, rugby, and football/ soccer, in addition to the Powerpack program for general fitness.
Powerbow programs are currently being used by individuals, athletes and professional sport trainers in Australia, New Zealand, the USA & Great Britain, and Asia.
Powerbow and its associated programs have been created by John Tilden, one of Australias’ foremost trainers for specific sports programs.
How does it achieve such great results?
Powerbow teaches you to work the muscle and not the joint. This is the key to its success. Powerbow workouts are done with a pulsing, consistent pushing force against the resistance of the Powerbow. That means there’s no let up on the muscle from the first pulse until the last. This creates strength. As the muscle gets stronger without joint strain you can push a little further against the resistance. By keeping to a steady rhythm and movement range the muscle is always safe. There is no overstretching or overloading using Powerbow. The load stays in the muscle.
Powerbow allows total concentration in the movement without the danger of being thrown off balance by heavy weights to achieve the same result. Most weight training programs use heavier and heavier weights to stimulate the muscle to growth. The use of weights without controlled form, particularly swinging movements that lengthen the muscle tendon make the joints sore and promote injury such as tendonitis.
Powerbow gets great results by working the muscle from a variety of angles. This gives the muscle not just overall strength through a range of movement, it gives it great symmetry also!!
